This site is dedicated to the memory of Carol Hatch.

My beautiful mum passed away at the age of 59yrs on 5th July 2013 on her 39th wedding anniversary and 3 weeks short of her 60th birthday with this awful disease, which is called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (the Idiopathic part means the cause is unknown). I want to start raising money in memory of my courageous mum who fought this as long as she could. Mum lived her life to the full and she loved every moment of her life until this condition took hold of her, it was heartbreaking for us as a family to watch mum go down so quickly and too not knowing what to expect. Also doctors don't have enough education on this condition, so mum didn't really receive the best care that she should have had from them. There are currently around 2000 people in the UK being diagnosed with this condition every year and we need to start looking into research so more people can live longer and have quality of life or at least get the right care and understanding of their condition also for their families to understand, as unfortunately myself and my family did not have any of this and my beautiful mum did not know what to expect and didn't have access to other known IPF sufferers. Please help so I can help other families who are living with this condition and keep my mums memory alive so her early passing is not left forgotten. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. If any one wants to do any fund raising for this very worthy cause please get in touch, Any donation you could give to help this very heart felt cause would be very much appreciated. Thanks again, Erica xxxxxxxxxxxx * * * KINDLY NOTE, ALL MONIES DONATED TO THIS FUND HAVE BEEN RESTRICTED TO IDIOPATHIC PULMONARY FIBROSIS RESEARCH, AS REQUESTED BY THE FUNDHOLDER.
